Diploma in Social Work and Development

Join Cleveland Medical Training College to study Diploma in social work and Development.

This programme takes 2 years to complete. This program aims at equipping learners with necessary skills and knowledge to carry out social development work and measures in the community. Social workers contribute immensely and formed the critical pillars and unit of our society.

Entry Requirements

  • a) Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E.) with a minimum mean grade of C- (minus)
  • Or
  • b) Certificate in Social Work with one year of continuous work experience
  • Or
  • c) Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA)
  • Assessment
  • The course will be assessed at two levels: internally and externally. Internal assessment is continuous and is conducted by the trainer who is monitored by an internal accredited verifier while external assessment is the responsibility of TVET CDACC.
  • Certification
  • On successful completion of all units of learning, a trainee will be awarded a Diploma in Social Work & Community Development issued by TVET CDACC in conjunction with Cleveland Medical Training college
